Lets go fly a kite.. up where the air is clear..

Yes.. lets go fly a kite!  Mind you.. when you say to somebody ' Go fly a kite' it can  mean something else.. so please read on.. don't go fly a kite!
Kites were used approximately 2,800 years ago in China, where materials ideal for kite building were readily available: silk fabric for sail material; fine, high-tensile-strength silk for flying line; and resilient bamboo for a strong, lightweight framework.

What does the phrase 'Go fly a kite mean'....
  • Drop dead!
  • Go away.
  • Get out of here.
  • Hit the road.
  • Get out of my hair.
  • Go find something else to do.
"Go fly a kite" is an allusion to Benjamin Franklin's famous electricity experiments.
This phrase belongs to group other similarly patterned ironic phrases where the speaker suggests the listener perform a dangerous activity such as flying a kite with full knowledge that the listener may be electrocuted. The listener is meant to infer that he is so unwanted that the speaker would wish him harm.

Mary Poppins.. Lets go fly a kite...
Lessons from this movie.. and ' Go fly a kite' for me TODAY...
  1. Practically perfect people never permit sentiment to muddle their thinking
  2. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!
  3. Life is meant as an adventure.. get out there and enjoy every special day, so... let's go fly a kite..up where the air is clear.. oh, yes.. lets fly a kite!
