Red skies in the morning..

Red skies in the morning.. sailors warning..

Red skies in the evening.. sailor delight..
Red sky at morning, sailors take warning;
Red sky at night, sailors delight
Hope what ever your skies bring.. its good for you, going further into the week..   Hope all the dust has settled after Irene..
And untill we meet again on Monday..
I'm escaping with my husband for our 39th wedding anniversary..

Every picture tells a story..

Beach raked clean by the buffalo.. sun gently peeping through a bank of clouds.. the quiet, stillness of morning time which I so enjoy..
all of a sudden, a lone fisherman in his bamboo boat is spotted..
He gets closer.. the South China sea is so calm, it could be a lake!
What's this a swimmer?.. indeed..
The pink rays of the morning sunlight fill the sky.. the shadows of the distant mountains cast a grey blue hue..
The sea is like a mirror..

He's coming closer now.. and closer.. no engine.. just man power.. one oar in a round bamboo boat! Just amazing...
I can now make out the clothes he is wearing.. and he gets closer, and closer..
And I can clearly see the bamboo weave..
He's scooping water?.. can't say why sorry..
And eventually I get to see his catch.. which he passes to somebody waiting on the shore.. freshest of crabs.. these will make somebody's lunch treat extra special..
and off he goes in the distance again.. mission accomplished..

My shout.. coffee anyone?

At its simplest, Ca phe da is made with finely ground Vietnamese-grown dark roast coffee individually brewed with a small metal French drip filter (cà phê phin) into a cup containing about a quarter to a half as much sweetened condensed milk  stirred and poured over ice.
Special personalized flat white..
latte (from the Italian caffè latte or caffellatte pronounced , meaning "coffee [and] milk") is a coffee drink made with espresso  and steamed milk. Variants include replacing the coffee with another drink base such as chai, mate, or matcha.
Latte Macchiato
A flat white is a coffee beverage from Australia and New Zealand.  It is prepared by pouring microfoam  (steamed milk from the bottom of a pitcher) over a single shot (30 millilitre) or double shot of espresso.   It is similar to the latte  and the cafe au lait  and like other espresso based beverages it can be interpreted various ways.
The beverage is typically served in a small, 150–160 millilitre, ceramic cup. Microfoam is used, resulting in a smooth and velvety texture. A flat white may incorporate latte art.
This is a skim cappuccino.. or like the Ozzie's say.. ' one skinny Cap' please.
Vietnamese iced coffee, also known as Ca phe da or cafe da literally "coffee ice") is a traditional Vietnamese coffee recipe.
Cà phê sữa nóng
Cappuccino- Meaning "Capuchin" or literally "small cap") is an Italian coffee drink, prepared with espresso, hot milk, hot milk, and steamed-milk foam.. The name comes from the Capuchin  friars, referring to the colour of their habits.

Either way.. coffee and cake go hand in hand! or Coffee and Baguettes,  or Coffee and Croissants.. or like the Italians enjoy it.. coffee with biscotti, coffee with Florentine, coffee with macaroons.
